Information: This mural commemorates the creation and development of Lions Park by the Port Coquitlam Lions Club, which formed in 1949. It depicts the original construction of the park, which the Lions Club proposed in the early 1950s and started work on soon after.

The mural is also dedicated to two Lions Club members, now deceased – Wes Henders and John Silvius.

The Lions Park mural, like Lions Park itself, is a gift to the City of Port Coquitlam from the Port Coquitlam Lions Club.
