Port Coquitlam’s vibrant cultural heritage is reflected in the many murals found in its downtown core. A walk through the area reveals scenes from the city’s start as “Westminster Junction” and on through time to present
day themes of the arts, community and the environment. To experience the murals for yourself, check out the map and take a stroll through Port Coquitlam’s past, present and future, depicted in public art.
The mural documentation project was undertaken by ArtsConnect, the PoCo BIA and the City of Port Coquitlam, with support from the Province of British Columbia and the BC Arts Council. We would also like to acknowledge the photographer Charles M. Britt and the design by David James Design.
